I had a swelling battery that needed replacement. Went in the morning around 11 to enquire about the service and the older man there took my number and phone details and had a battery ordered. I paid a small $20 deposit as they didn't want me to not come back after they've ordered the battery (which is fair) and only 2-3 hours later I was called and informed the new battery was there. Went in and the younger guy who is probably the son? told me it would take around 1h and also gave me a disclaimer that because of how the battery had swelled, it could make the screen removal slightly trickier so there would be a risk of damage to the screen and potential need to replace that too. I approved and waited maybe 30-40 mins max and my phone was fixed. Operates as it should. Very happy with the service and the pricing was excellent in comparison to other shops I enquired with. I paid $65 while others had quoted me about $160+tax.
I can only speak on my experience and after a very recent visit [yesterday to be exact June 25th 2025] I decided to give a great review. Not sure why it never dawned on me to do that before. I remember thinking as I walked in that I am very grateful that this place exists. Kinda reminds me of that old corner coffee shop you go to everyday because it always gives you such a feel good moment. I hadn't been here in quite a few years and so I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in and they remembered me and greeted me with a smile that said 'good to see you again'. Like a long lost old friend. So yes, they do offer friendly service here, but beyond that I find them to be reliable. I have never had an instance where I was not pleased with the service or the products and I am the kind of person that will sense in a split second whether or not something is right for me. I have always come here to have phones repaired and I have never had to worry about whether it was going to be fixed right or whether they would misplace it. I have always got a sense that they are very organized, very responsible and really great at what they do. And the best part is, you get great deals here on accessories - chargers, phone cases and so on. I cannot think of one thing I wasn't happy about and it was great to come back after so long to see them still here and offering this service. I walked away with two great deals and an even better memory. I didn't think they would remember me and then on top of that to be greeted as a valued customer. That was kinda cool. They are very much giving 'staple in the community'. Like a place you can go and get a much needed service. That was very therapeutic, actually. Good job, Hi Tech Cell. I am a happy customer.
I brought my laptop to this store inorder to repair a cracked screen and was advised that there was a 30day warranty. I paid over 400.00 for this repair only for the screen to go blank within the month. Unfortunately when I reached out to the store, I was met with excuses as to why they would not honor their warranty even though I still had the receipt. I was advised that they had many people who came in for the exact same issue and they would not honor their warranty. My family tries to support local small businesses and this experience just turned not only myself but everyone that I refer to this store off. Integrity and customer service goes a long way.
I went to get the camera lens on my iPhone 11 Pro Max replaced as it had cracked, and my phone was returned in a worse-off condition than before it was "repaired." The 1x camera lens no longer focuses and is extremely blurry, which I was told was due to the camera itself being damaged. However, the camera was working perfectly fine that morning before going in. The owner deflected and said there was nothing he/I could do, but opted to suggest changing the camera for another $90. 0/10, would not recommend, would not go back.
Went it for the first time after seeing good reviews here. Having issues with my cell phone due to moisture resulting it unable to charge through USB. Was presented with 2 different solutions that was not offered by any other stores that I went before that. At the end, was able to get the issue resolved within 1 hour and an affordable price. Would surely visit them next time for any cell phone related matters and would strongly recommend anyone to give them a shot. You won't be disappointed with the service. Thanks.
