I am a regular customer, have been buying from Penningtons for almost 10-12 yrs now. I rarely return anything, went for a return and had to go thru a whole lot of trouble. I showed the purchase on my phone in my account and still they refused to believe me. I am a Canadian citizen, moved to Canada in 2001 but still have to face racism, totally unacceptable. Not feeling so good about this, I was handed a customer service number because the staff failed to justify. This is the same place where I waited patiently one time because the cashier was having a hard time cashing me out as she got mixed up and couldn’t figure out. I still left with a thanks and no worries and no complaints at all.
I had such a wonderful experience at Penningtons! As soon as I walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Amanda was amazing—she helped me pick out beautiful outfits and went above and beyond by bringing me great options to try. At checkout, Shika was so kind and courteous, making the whole experience even better. The store itself was spotless, beautifully organized, and such a pleasant place to shop. Highly recommend!
They try and trap you into buying from their store. Do not buy gifts for people from this store! My sister bought my birthday gift from Penningtons. She did not get a gift receipt so we can get a full refund if we wanted. Prepared to go return my boots and get the return put back onto my sisters credit card. I was told that she had to be present with the card or I could get a gift receipt. I told her we want our full money back not a store credit and it’s making buying a gift for someone here next to impossible if they want to return it. In this day in age if she can buy it online without a physical card - why can’t we return it in the same fashion. When people live far away from eachother it’s next to impossible in this form. Customer service front end was very quick to dismiss my concerns instead of trying to fix the problem.
I am very shy when it comes to discussing lingerie but Maresa(probably spelling her name wrong) was so kind made me feel super comfortable and did my fitting and provided the best service ever. I am definitely going back to this store firstly for service and secondly for the price quality and the range they have for plus sizes.
I called them in the morning regarding an item which I needed very urgent , the associate who took my call was very helpful and polite. She assured me the item is in the stock and will keep it aside for me to pick it up. I reached there just after and I was attended by her, she already gathered the items for me even more than I asked for and even assisted me to pick the ones from the bunch. I would say her helpful gesture made my morning an actual good morning. Thank You.
Very unfriendly staff. No one would assist me with my questions. Wasn't asked about my loyalty information. Given the cold shoulder by both members. Will not be returning. Would rather shop online.
