I visited Top Notch Motors today and had a great experience. I was quite worried about an issue with my McLaren, but the team handled the problem professionally and solved it perfectly. They have the best and latest up to date software collections, which shows their expertise and passion for high-end vehicles. I would especially like to appreciate the owner, Martin, for running such a high-quality service center. A special mention goes to the supervisor, Chandan, who is extremely honest, dedicated, and sincere in his duty. His transparency and commitment gave me complete confidence and peace of mind. Highly recommended Top Notch Motors for anyone looking for reliable service, expert solutions, and excellent customer care.
Martin and his team are certainly Top Notch. They are all helpful, friendly and provide the best service. Whether it is for an oil change, brakes or engine repair, they are fast and ready to assist. They take care of all our automobile maintenance needs. Thanks team!
Amazing workshop with kind staff. The owner is very helpful and offers genuine advice. We had a weird noise coming from our car roof and no one could find what it was. This shop was able to figure out the problem quickly and fixed it for a reasonable price too. I am very happy with my experience here!!
I had a flat tire yesterday (Oct 4 2024), so I turned into Top Notch on Queen St. in Brampton... I'd never been there before. Right away the owner, Martin, and 2 of his mechanics came to check my flat to see if it could be fixed. When it couldn't, they first searched for a used tire in their shop to replace it before offering me a new one at a great price. (I ended up buying 2 tires at a great price since I needed to replace a different tire anyway). I didn't have to wait, they did all the work right away, including checking, filling and repositioning all my tires appropriately. The vibe there is excellent - I felt like they genuinely wanted to get me back on the road quickly and safely, and offered me great service with fair prices. A shout-out to Inder, the excellent mechanic who worked on my car - he was patient, thorough and very polite. Thanks Inder! :) I don't live in Brampton but my mom does, so I told her about this shop since she's looking for a good place to start taking her car!
I have been going to this shop for a couple of years for minor or routine maintenance and the repairs were done right and reasonably priced, until I had a cruise control not working, however the part was faulty( not the shop's fault) after I addressed the issue they replaced the part with a good one and didn't charge me for the labor, and finally I had an electrical problem on the driver door that was a nuisance and couldn't be solved by an electrical guy at a different shop, guess what, Top notch fixed the problem for a reasonable price, I'll be back! Thanks guys.
Hit and miss on hours starting. Holiday very difficult... otherwise all other services in repairs are under control and unique. Since my old mechanic Bob closed up shop. We do not know where he moved to. Martin was recommended by him and I've been using him since 2015. Whenever I am down in dumb luck when it comes to car issues. I always can relay on Topnotch and his team.
I have been servicing my 2014 Grand caravan SXT at this shop many times since 2016. The customer service is very good and friendly but my recent experience with this shop has changed my opinion. Three months ago I took my car to this place as I was hearing a grinding noise when speeding on highways and when turning the steering left and right repeatedly. I knew it was the rear wheel bearings as I have searched this problem online and apparently many peoples comments were talking about the wheel bearings failure as the cause. The original OEM wheel bearings failed after only 89000km (GM cheap parts!). I purchased the car new from Chrysler. The repair shop owner (Martin) took the car for a road test and after he came back and physically inspecting the rear wheels he told me the wheel bearings have gone bad. He recommended two types of aftermarket wheel bearings (NSK and SKF). I asked him which one is better and he told me it is the SKF with 3 years warranty. It was an expensive fix but I wanted the best so if anything goes wrong he would not blame me I chose the cheaper one. Anyhow, a couple of months later I started hearing rattling noise from the rear wheel of the driver side when going 35-40 km but it goes away after applying the brake. This noise was not hearable immediately after the wheel bearings were replaced. I took my car back to Martin and explained to him what the problem is. He took the car for a road test and came back. He asked his technician to jack up the car to look underneath the car for any thing that could be loose. Then he came to me and told me that the rear shock absorbers are rusted and need replacement. I asked him are you 100% sure that the rattling noise was from the shock absorbers and he said “I’m very positive it is”. So I agreed to replace it but at the same time I told him that I think it could be a brake pad that is loose as the pad holding clip might have fallen off or a caliber pins/bolts might be loose but he did not agree to even have a look as he thinks I am wrong. So after the shock absorbers were replaced and he took the car for a road test again, he came back with a suspicious look on his face which I knew right away the problem was not the shock absorbers. He told me the noise is less now but not gone and at the same time he insisted that it was necessary to change the shock absorbers. The rattling noise is still the same but it didn’t get worse so far. I have searched online and on youtube for the same problem that occurred with other people and I found many that showed it was a brake related issue, not shock absorbers. I wrote this review just to see if Martin or anyone of his office reads it and cares about their customers complaints and their reviews. If they care about their reputation I expect them at least to reply to me and show me they care about their customers and their after sales service is honoured or they only care about sales. If I don’t hear back from them definitely I will never go back again to this place.
