Pleasant experience last evening. There was only one barista working at the time but he managed the responsibility great. Have great suggestione, service was efficient and location clean.
This location does not care about their product anymore. They've gone to just pushing a button, and even that doesn't work properly. I can forgive the people just hanging around and the girl who looks quite unhappy. Those things happen. The bad part is spending $10 on two cups of coffee and having to throw them both away after a few sips. If this is what they offer, its time to pack it in.
We've been a regular customer of this branch and always admired the service and staff, but our recent visit was quite a letdown. The place was busy on a Friday, and there was more staff than before, around 3-4, which is good. But, there was one particular lady who was chatting and taking things too easy while others are doing their work. Eventually, she started managing the cashier. When it was my turn to order, no hi or hello, didn't even look at me and I had to initiate a smile and a hello to begin the interaction. I was qualified to get a chosen drink with my accumulated member points. She said "I don't think we can do that" and I showed her that the app says I can. She called up a male colleague and he handled the matter with no issues. She didn't stay beside him to make an effort to learn in case she encounters a similar scenario. Of all the Second Cup staff and branches I've been through the years, this is the only time I've experienced being treated by a staff like an inconvenience...but she has time to happily sing, chat, and do a little dance infront of her coworkers. ??
Tried the location for first time today evening, was waiting in queue, while one employee passed with a huge trolly in front without even saying excuse me or even acknowledging. Then the barista comes up, not even a greeting, I asked for less ice in coffee, still had the cup full had to ask him to reduce, which he did, made the drink and slide the cup from end of the counter to the middle. As if it was a bowling alley, and just turned around without a word. Atrocious customer service, people visit cafés to get in a good mood, the service ruined it. No complaints with product though. Never visiting the location again.
Always a good time here at this location! The staff were incredibly friendly, (I didn't catch his name, but the taller barista with the beard and shorter hair was great) and my drink was made well. Keep up the great work guys!
I am usually visiting in this location, my favourite drink is Iced Caramel Corretto, but last weekend on Sun Aug 24th around 11am30, I came to order my drink and the cashier gave me the drink which he already made before even I asked him very nicely doing in my cup, then he poured the drink he made before directly in my cup in front of me, I asked him again that drink he already made before, and he said he just do it. I aslo saw he did the same with the customer next to me, how he can know what the customer want to order. I was really disappointed at that time, I dont want to waste my money and time to get the drink like this.
Waited over half an hour for 4 drinks for my children & I. There were originally 2 people working but the guy walked off. They weren't busy and not friendly at all. This location and the location at quarry edge have gone so down hill over the past 6 months. I believe its the same owners. Horrible service. Unfriendly staff. Wont be returning.
