My experience with LKQ has been an absolute disaster. They consistently sent me the wrong parts, and the replacements were in terrible condition. When it comes to insurance claims, especially for individual customers, they give you an incredibly hard time. They don’t answer calls, their information is contradictory, and their management is nowhere to be found when you visit their location. It’s a nightmare from start to finish. I strongly advise staying away from this company if you value your time and peace of mind.
Hang up in the middle of the call when I said I can’t hear them? What is wrong with the customer service in this company. This is not the first time this has happened. Seriously fire them all and hire new employees.
I am a busy courier contractor. I took time out of work yesterday to stop by their warehouse at 12:30 PM to return an AC compressor that I purchased from them a couple of weeks ago. A core fee of $35 was charged to my friend’s Visa credit card (not mine), as he picked up the compressor for me. After waiting patiently in line for one hour, I was told that I needed to have my friend’s Visa card with me in order to process the refund! Seriously? What a useless, trash company. Now I have to plan and coordinate another trip—this time with my friend’s card—just to get my money back!
Some of the staff at LKQ are very unprofessional and rude. A representative hang up the phone on me in the middle of the call because I ask for a comparison in pricing between a cloth and leather centre console. From one business owner to the next. These type of employee should be delt with according. These type of employee are degrading to the company . I spend thousand of dollars at your company. The least your employees can do is have some respect . And I am taking my business elsewhere.
Be careful when ordering with this company. They will send you wrong item even when their staff place the order in their office, plus delays and no communication. I had a terrible experience when I order a car seat with them. I requested a front passenger seat, they sent the drivers seat. They placed a new order and after 5 days of waiting, they told me they have the correct seat only to discover the seat they got had no airbag. They placed another order and this time, I waited for a week, the seat they bought was for a different trim that has no cooling. This whole process took more than 1 month of wasting my time and traveling to their office in Brampton. I contacted another recycler in Montreal and they shipped the right seat and it came faster (3days) that I even expected.
This has to be the saddest operation I have ever come across in the past 10 years in this business. The customer service is on the lowest level I have seen in any business out there. They think they know everything. That is not the case. You go there to pick up parts, you mine as well bring your lunch. Takes well over 45 mins to get your parts and leave. This happens every time. because they bought out every other supplier, they think that you have no choice but to shop there. Again, not the case. Just poor management all around. worst place to buy from, shop elsewhere unless no one has it. to bad there's no options for a ZERO star.
1st time shopper with LKQ at the Brampton location on Steeles, and I must say great service and price. Bit of confusion with work order number over the phone but the customer service reps were amazing. Came in to pick up my parts last min and the staff was very friendly and fast. I will be back and cant wait to place my next order. Dont let the bad reviews keep you away and try this place for yourself. :) thanks to the staff of LKQ you guys and gals are great!!!!!
