spoke to a male receptionist about booking a mammogram and he refused to book it despite me having a requisition. he insisted i was reading it wrong and needed an ultrasound (i didn’t, i specifically asked my doctor for a mammogram and that’s what he put on the requisition). when i told him i wasn’t interested in an ultrasound he refused to book me an appointment. have yet to get my mammogram and i have a family history of early breast cancer. a man, especially one like that, has no business telling women seeking medical help that they’re wrong and refusing service. this is why so many women don’t get the medical help they need.
If I could choose zero stars I would. I had an ultrasound with a technician and apparently when a patient says STOP, they don’t care. Initially I went in for an external ultrasound but the technician said she “couldn’t see anything” and said she “needed” to go in. I was advised by my family doctor that I didn’t have to do it prior to the scheduled appointment. So I said, I’m not really comfortable with that. The technician insisted and I felt pressured. I signed the consent form and before I could even prepare myself, the technician just shoved the probe internally and I SCREAMED. It was so painful and I kept repeatedly telling her to stop, over thirty seconds went by and she kept telling me “it’s okay, it’s in, just relax” and she’s turning it around as I’m freaking out. Was a very traumatic experience.
I have taken few xrays from them few months back. I needed access to my Xray images so I contacted them over phone and they said they can provide me a copy or access to them if I visit the clinic for FREE of cost. When I reached the clinic and requested them for access for my XRAYS the receptionist said I have to pay $10 in cash or interac and no receipt was given for the same. I don't have a health card and I already paid for the xrays thru interac. I simply don't understand why I need to pay them to just view my xrays images. Its a scam!!!...
Ultrasound Technologist Riya who for sure is a lady doctor back home was great! She was gentle, respectful and very professional! Excellent service! I appreciate the follow-up/reminder from the customer service as well.good job!
As a trans person, this clinic made me feel disrespected and unseen. I never gave my name at the start of the phonecall — the staff member pulled it from my health card, then immediately used my dead name without asking what I go by. No effort to confirm or show respect, just a careless assumption. To make it worse, he assumed the appointment was for my “wife,” despite me never mentioning one. I don’t have a wife. That assumption was not only bizarre but also rooted in outdated and heteronormative thinking. For a healthcare facility, their complete lack of awareness around how to treat trans individuals is unacceptable. It’s 2025 — this shouldn’t still be happening. Being misgendered and erased in a space where I’m supposed to feel safe is beyond disappointing. Do better.
I arrived at the location at 7:45 just to hear they are closed when the website and the sign at their door says open till 8pm. What a rip off this location is. NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL???
The ultrasound technician went above expectations. She gave me an elastic to put my hair up so gel wouldn't get in my hair and then used a warm towel like spas use to get the gel off. All around an amazing visit! Thank you!
