Living just north of Brampton we used to eat here frequently but have not for the past few years. We were pleased to see that the tired 70's design had finally been replaced by a modern "downtown" bistro look. The menu has been pared down with fewer choices but still something for everyone. My wife's garden salad was ho-hum. My goat cheese, olive and sun-dried tomato pizza was flavour-free (how do you manage a no-taste pizza with olives and sun-dried tomatoes)? My daughter's linguini with red sauce, clams and mussels was tasty but the surface was dried out from having sat under the heat lamps too long. A trio came in while we were eating and there was not a clean table (lots of dirty tables but no clean ones). So the owner (i think) invited them into the dining area to watch and generally get into the way as he pushed tables around, and left a baby high chair in the middle of the traffic way for everyone to bump into, which they did. The trio was then invited to sit at the table while staff cleaned the surface of it and installed the silverware. Why were they not asked to wait in the reception where there was plenty of room, while the table was set up, I will likely never know. One of the mysteries of the cosmos, I guess.
First time back since renovations done. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was good and amount was good, except dessert.I was happy till I got home and saw the receipt. The menu stated that the entrees included vegetables or pasta of the day. I specially asked what the pasta of the day was. The server listed several pastas and sauces. There was no mention that these items came with an additional fee. When I got home and saw the receipt it had a $2.00 charge for each of our pastas and each sauce. An $8.00 + tax increase to the bill.If I had not specifically asked what the pasta of the day was I could say that it was my issue. The server should have told us what the pasta of the was and that for a charge we could have something else.The other issue was the dessert. $8.95 for a tiny piece of cake that was about 5 mouthfuls.We originally thought we may go back, but after the extra charges for sauce and pasta we will not be returning.
We recently used this restaurant as a venue for our daughters baptism dinner and we had an excellent experience. The planning process was effortless. The room was set up to fit the event perfectly. The food was delicious and well presented. The servers were very nice, polite, accommodating and efficient. We would highly recommend this venue for a special event.

Came to Vesuvio for a family function. They started with delicious cheese pizza, then an appetizer of veggies and cold cuts, followed by pasta and finally the main with veal, chicken and veggies. Everything was good, but my favourite was the pizza. Restaurant is newly renovated and looks very nice. Service was excellent. I would definitely come back to try their regular menu.
