Terrible, The environment sucks, and so does the staff they don't do shit. Also their was an incident where a paranoid person showed up and started yelling and causing a commotion. People go the library because it is supposed to be a safe quiet space to study or read, not a place to witness drama and be hearing people scream back and forth. I was very disappointed, ans so was everyone else witnessing it, it ruined everyone's mood. To top this I heard people saying this lady repeats this frequently, and the library staff choose not to involve the police. Great plan of action ! Also right before this paramedics showed up -> if you want a Library with drama go to this one!
Excellent place - well kept but some people lack civic sense and don't respect others and are often loud - either talking with their group or on their phone.. Great place to find children books as well and they also conduct multiple events for kids. They also have a nintendo switch for kids that you can use while at the library.
Good place to reading books novels etc but only downside is the security guard lady is just wondering through out the library everytime for no reason which is kind of distracting and annoyed.
great when it's quiet and not packed with people, but don't come here between 11am - 3pm 'cause its always full of loud teenagers that take up every spot in the library, which leaves you to sit at the trashy seats.
This library has a very broad selection of books, DVDS , and films. They also have a wide language section and it includes Punjabi, Hindi, Gujarat and .etc. I really recommend this place to newcomers and beginners!
Amazing place, clean and smell good. You can rent a go pro here if you want
The lighting should be optional on particular days and towards the late afternoons as the windows are your walls. Its too bright and a waste of energy, maybe its just me. Due to no walls, there are a number of outlets on the floors, which is pretty decent as your screen brightness will be to its maximum. My first time being there, I showed up around 11am, and the only study room available (due to construction) has four rectangular tables, which is obviously occupied by four people. So show up exact 10am if you need quiet and solitude for your studying. There is a nice water station where you can refill your bottles. The space overall feels like a recreational centre or a cafeteria, its very open and Im sure you can get away with eating at your table. The noise isnt too bad until the kids arrive for their play date (on some days), which is on the other side of the library separated by book shelves. However, there are a good selection of books, both children and (young) adult fiction/ non-fiction.
The space is beautiful! It's visually pleasing, but is more of a rec centre filled with activities. If you're looking for something fun for the kids then bring them here. There are tons of daily activities to keep them engaged. If you're looking for a quiet library vibe, then this is not the space. There is a huge room at the entrance that is referred to as the multi-media room. This room is usually closed off the public. This would make an ideal spot for those who want a quiet space for studying. The actual quiet study room, located further within the library has only 4 tables and apart from the first week, is always full. I've asked the staff whether it would be possible to use the giant empty room that's filled with tables, but was constantly told that the room is closed to the public. I know that there are no construction or safety issue since they allowed us to use that room during the first week after it got dark, since the lights in the actual study room were not working. I'm not sure whether it's because it's still a new space, but this library is filled with screaming children. If you're looking for a quiet study space, check out the upper level of the Four Corners branch.
If you need the caf vibe without actually getting anything to drink/eat and just chit chat, you've found the right place to be at. In the common reading areas, people are not only constantly talking out loud , on their phones having what should be private conversations out loud and/or yelling at their rather noisy kids because maybe they think they're in a daycare centre ? ! Oh and did I mention that the staff doesn't give a **** because they know they're getting paid to just stand around and do light book keeping by our tax dollars anyways? The only reason I'm giving it two stars is because it's designed well and does have a beautiful urban vibe to it. There are quiet study areas as well, and those are fine but the common areas are definitely treated more like a caf/day care rather than a library.
This library is spacious and bright in it's own architectural way with windows all around to make it feel like you are studying outside but in an indoor space. The staff in this library are nice but I was truly disappointed in how little they know how to work the printer. I have gone to the library twice to print papers for my upcoming exam. The first day, there was something wrong with the printer screen as it was enlarged and it took two of the librarians to fix it long enough that I had to leave for my appointment so I did not end up printing due to that issue. The second day I tried to print, was even more of hassle as the printers have a double sided printer option, and as a student, would find it eco-friendly and cost effective to pick this option (as it was after all an option). As I went ahead to print my 93 pages review papers into a 46 double sided paper, I was prompted on the screen to ensure that once done printing, to flip the pages to print on the other side. I had called one of the librarians to help and she had no idea how to work this option on the printer and stated "this is not an option we have here". The librarian was able to find out later how and which way to put the paper in, but it took so long I was locked out of my computer and had to start all over again (mind you only having one side of my pages only printed). This caused another issue as I had to manually enter the page numbers I then wanted to print on the other side, which in the end did not end up the way I or anyone would want their paper to be, in chronological order. The other librarian stated that even if it doesn't work, I would still need to pay for these paper, which I agreed on because I do hate wasting ink and paper. Although I agreed, I do believe that having staff in this library be knowledgeable of the printing system and the options it has on the computer will help ease with the users time, money and stress in printing. This was a horrible experience I hope no one would have to go through as it took forever just to print papers for my exam due to the inexperienced staff that did not know how to work the printer system.
