Racial discrimination The Indian girl working at the athletic centre at the desk where you go to scan your gym membership on Sept 13, 2025 3:00pm was very racist. She’s only speaking in Hindi and Punjabi to people of her own ethnicity when I waited 20 minutes to ask her a simple question, multiple people went in front of me when I was waiting to talk, she said go ask someone else. Then proceeds to speak to other people in Punjabi. Extreme rude she needs to be fired.
We visited the library for the first time and it's huge! So spacious, clean and welcoming! It's in the Gore Meadows Community center building and also has plenty of parking in front and playgrounds and splash pads for kids like mine to enjoy after their library visit. The children's area in the library is big with large round tables and plenty of chairs for the kids to sit. There are sofas near the walls. My kid could easily go and pick up a book herself and then come back to the table to sit and read. The only issue was not having colouring pages and crayons to color as in the other libraries. We were told that many children had destroyed books by colouring in them because of which the service was discontinued. I guess for a new renovated library, this would be a cause of concern. On the whole a wonderful place and worth visiting frequently.
Great library, friendly staff, love the variety of seating (silent rooms, study booths, window tables, etc). However, I took stars off solely because it's the loudest library I've ever been in. There are almost always children's activities (think loud crying, screaming, and running children), and even teenagers and adults don't speak at a volume appropriate for a library setting. Maybe it's partially due to the acoustics of having a wide open space like this - but it feels like I can vividly hear conversations from across the room. While I love the amenities and how spacious and bright the space is, it's very difficult to get any effective studying/working done unless you're in the designated silent study room because it's just far too overstimulating to focus. Also on a separate note that I don't fault them for as it's probably out of their control, the power and internet seems to go out regularly so I often need to study using a hotspot from my phone until it returns.
Large library with 2 quiet study rooms and over 30 individual study stations and more than 6-8 group quiet study stations. Book collections are decently spread into various subjects. They also house several foreign language newspapers and magazines. Also a hot spot for youngsters so be aware that it is a very busy location ! Check the schedule before you plan to sit and study without headphones, after school hours the library is packed. Library is part of a larger facility with houses every community activity I could think of... from soccer to swimming to ice rink they got it all.
People are disgusting. There should be a rule that no one is suppose to talk on phone. Creating disturbance to others. Library is meant for quite, reading environment. But people come here to talk on phone and enjoy their food.
Very good library layout and a warm staff. The library manager is also always keen to help in whatever way possible, overall a good place to study.
People are loud, but other than that it is amazing :)
I love this library very organized and staff are very helpful
Very beautiful and well organized facility , staff is really helpful .
They have like 7 employees with nothing to do so they just sit in the back eating Tim Hortons. Waste of my parents tax money.
