I went to the shop .. liked this huge pot and carried and continued shopping more. A guy literally comes in takes the pot from my hand .. He told me that he will give me with a box … then comes without box, as it is and told me . The pot will be upfront in the cash area . It felt so embrassed as he was treating like a thief as we would run away with this big pot. What was he thinking? I wanted to seriously call the supervisor/ manager to ask what the hell was that?? I even asked if there any complaint box for any customer complaint or feedback . They said no . The sole reason I am putting this review so that the management know how their staff treat their customers. The company should invest some legit amount of time on the staff training . The customer should not feel ashamed while buying stuff inside the store. It should be your responsibility that the customer should feel eased and confident while shopping as the shopping pattern for the retail store is customer making their own choice and picking up the stuff that they like . If you feel every customer is there to steal your item . Change your shopping pattern to customer demanding the stuff that they like through the staff . Otherwise, never disturb any customer while they are shopping . That’s disgusting as a customer unless the customer ask for help.
I was in the store when an incident occurred, and honestly, from where I was standing, it really did look like the person was recording. The phone was pointed around and it made me feel uncomfortable as a customer. Ali came over and handled it pretty normally from what I saw. He wasn’t rude or yelling, he just seemed like he was trying to deal with a situation that any manager would have to address. I’ve seen him help customers before and he’s always been professional and respectful. I’ve visited this store and location multiple times and have had nothing but good experience especially with all the managers. Just wanted to share the other side of things and share my experiences.
I was there in the store as well, story told by Karolynn Watson and Mohammed Mohammed below is completely false. The guy was on video call and was with his partner. I saw Ali approaching this gentleman and said he can not record video without even confirming the actual scenario. This gentleman asked if there is such store policy available to not take videos although he was not doing at all. Ali got furious and said it’s private property and started shouting racial slurrs and threatened customer. He was on phone trying to call security and pushed customer outside, swearing trying to create scene and threatening customer to meet outside after his shift ends. I would highly suggest company management checking camera to verify how genuine this is and look at different angel. I know from my past experiences if negative comments come up employees would make fake account and act like customer to provide false stories. Reviews from Kunal chawla, arpitaben, hemil say it all about Ali’s(manager) behaviour with customers.
I normally never write reviews, especially around the holidays, but I felt I needed to speak up after witnessing this situation firsthand. I was in the store doing my Christmas shopping when this incident took place, and what I experienced was very different from what the other reviewer described. I clearly saw the customer recording inside the store. It made me uncomfortable, this is a busy time of year, families are shopping with their kids, and it just didn’t feel appropriate or in the Christmas spirit. Because of that, I quietly let the manager know. The manager, Ali, approached him in a calm and respectful manner. He wasn’t rude or loud at all. He simply explained that recording wasn’t allowed. Instead of cooperating, the customer immediately became defensive and started raising his voice. It was obvious he was the one escalating the situation, not the manager. People living in Canada are expected to follow Canadian store policies, and one of those is respecting others’ privacy. This isn’t a place where you can record people without permission, especially in a retail environment. That’s not how things work here, and it’s unfair to the staff and other customers when someone chooses to ignore those rules. I’d understand if you’re taking pictures or recording items in the store but why point your camera at customers? Throughout the entire interaction, Ali remained composed and kept trying to de-escalate things. He handled the situation far better than most would under that kind of pressure. I never saw any aggression from him, only patience. Meanwhile, the customer continued yelling and disrupting everyone’s holiday shopping. The customer made threats and said such horrendous things. I’m only writing this because the original review leaves out the actual behavior that caused the issue. It wasn’t the store or its staff creating a problem, it was a customer refusing to follow reasonable policies and disturbing everyone around him. This truly wasn’t in the Christmas spirit, and the staff shouldn’t be blamed for enforcing normal rules meant to protect everyone’s comfort and privacy. My experiences at this location have always been positive, and this incident only reinforced how professional the team really is. I love kitchen stuff place and the staff there. Unfortunately there are certain kinds of customers who do not oblige with Canadian store policy’s and below they are above it. Don’t record people, simple.
I’m not the type to normally post reviews but in this case I feel the need to to clear up falsified reviews. The review under me by BLINKANDBOLD is HIGHLY FALSFIED. That grown man had so much ego and was making the employees and customers uncomfortable I saw and heard Ali say “feel free to take pictures of items but be careful as you can’t record other customers and patrons”. He then follows the manager Ali and gets like two inches to his face yelling and claiming he will cause bodily harm. He even tried to hit him. Ali was calm denied him service as he was bothering the other customers and causing scenes by yelling. He then tells Ali loudly HE WOULD BE WAITING FOR HIM. Ali was nothing but helpful to me and from what I saw other customers.

I was very dissatisfied with my purchase at this location. I bought a kitchenaid can opener. It broke on the first can. I went back an under 14 days later and they said if I had come the same day or the next then they could have done something. I didn’t even use right away that night or the next day: seriously? I thought that they would just switch it like Canadian Tire or Walmart. I said to the manager sooo you’re telling me that I came here and spent 26$ and I might as well have Judy threw it in the garbage and she said..”Yes” unbelievable. I will NEVERRRRR buy a thing in this store again. Very very disappointing
