Had the pleasure of being assisted by store associate Lilly a couple of weeks ago. She helped me pick out bikes for my children. She was very patient, kind and professional.
This place is company is a joke I wrote an email with a complaint about how I was treated in this store and they emailed me back saying it was my fault, that this male employee was a rude and uneducated on shopping practises. I emailed about having put a dvd in my bag while I was shopping and this employee followed me around constantly which I was fine with cuz I did take the item out of my bag when I was going to make a purchase, I was texting alot to my wife and friends and needed my hands free.. but again I was not made that he was following me around the store because LP told him to do so. Where I am extremely bewildered is that after I took this item out of my bag to go purchase it with something else I was going to buy for my daughter, this employee approached me and continued to harass me. Firstly, by asking me not to conceal stuff in my bag which is fine I got that point and said respectfully ok no problem, and this employee continued to go on saying ye please don't conceal, when I said "ye ok I was just texting on my phone, I wasn't going to leave with the item". He persisted in saying ye but you know what it looks like at this point I wasn't sure why this employee was still talking after I disengaged. I continued to enlighten this employee on the law of concealment and theft to which he abruptly yelled he would call the cops on me, I told him to go ahead I was not in the wrong, and all of this was done in the middle of the store in front of other customers making me seem like I was a thief. He then said I was dumb for concealing the items to which I retorted "no what's dumb is you are talking yourself out of a sale. Too which he implied he didn't need money from me not sure how I should take that exactly. At this point this uneducated employee was already to walk me out of the store, so gave him the products I was going to buy and had some choice words for this very dumb man as I was leaving the store. He did follow me outside and stood there at that point I turned around with my phone to get a picture of him and he ducked back into the store trying to hide like the coward he was.. not only was this email replied to by someone telling me how to shop in the store but insinuating that it was my fault this happened in the first place.. I have told alot of my friends about this and alot of them have said they will never shop at toys r us again just like I will not be, which is a same because we even had our baby registry with them when my daughter was born and buy stuff from the store alot.. because of how close it is to our house.
Printed sign is hanging on the shelf about price matching. I ask about it because a lego set we wanted to gift was $10+ more here then at walmart After we finish all the shopping the cash out said they dont price match lego We didnt argue but the sign we saw didnt say specifically, only some sections we price match. It was a bit misleading and due to time constraints we proceeded to buy the lego toys . . Next time we wont be fooled by the sign and we will put back half the junk we bought. It was for gifts and we wouldnt have continued to shop if we didn't know lego wasnt included in the price match sign. We should have left right away when we noticed the exact same sets were cheaper at walmart. But we stayed longer picking up more thinking they would indeed as the sign said, price match.
really bad experience with this place. i bought a soft stuffed animal (soft toy) a month ago . i found a long hard and sharp wire coming out from it when hold it while sleeping. It would be more dangerous if there’s any baby instead . Please be careful while making . Also be aware while shopping guys! Safety is priority!!!
