The food is worth every penny. You can taste the smoked flavor in the jerk chicken, the oxtail and goat were amazing. The bammy and fried breadfruit were golden outside and soft and tender in the middle. For all the Jamaicans out there, it is worth a try.
The jerk chicken is made over charcoal and you can taste the difference. The spice level was perfect for me - enjoyable but not excruciating. The rice and peas were comforting to mellow out the spice; the coleslaw was fresh, crunchy, with balanced sweet and sour notes making it a perfectly refreshing foil to the spice from the chicken. Can't call it 'a hidden gem' without trying other items, but the charcoal grilled jerk chicken is definitely worth a try.
Chef Nicholas has great talent. Being a small business, he took on the challenge to cater our wedding. Serving snapper, salmon, jerk chicken, curry goat, salt fish fritters and an epic custom appetizer that we didn’t even get to try because they were so popular. Chef Nic has a great tasting process - presented his best and on the day of the wedding the food I got to taste was incredible, our guests even took take out containers!! We had laid out for our late night table. 10/10 would recommend and you certainly get what you pay for. Many blessing to the chef!
Food is alright service is terrible!! very very slow waited over an hour just for chicken and the ladies at the front have no manners and are very very unprofessional!!
Just went to jerk fest and stopped at this booth, they forgot my rice. 1/2 Jerk was reallllll nice and coleslaw. Mac was FIRE. I guess I had to be ok with $23 for chicken and slaw it was very good
Updated review: I’ve been here several times and while I enjoy the food, every time I order they are always out of something and waiting 1 hour for 1 jerk chicken just seems like a lot. I do wish it was more efficient and the customer service is hit and miss. This is my new favourite jerk chicken place. Everything tasted amazing. Can’t wait to order from here again. I ordered over the phone and received friendly and helpful service.
Awesome food. Best jerk I have had on years. Love the breadfruit. Did not really like the festival...too much vanilla I think. Review update April 17 2025 Ordered Easter Fish plate, size of the snapper was proper, nuff onion and pepper and carrot. Amazing, worth every penny. Hopefully it's an annual thing..
