The knowledgeable staff at Ontario Conservatory of Music provides a warm and welcome atmosphere. I always feel accomplished and motivated after each session with my voice coach "Ira", her warm inviting smile sets the mood for your session. She has helped me considerably with my interest in finding my voice and interest in music composition. I am definitely sure that I will be successful in my musical endeavors as I continue with the Ontario Conservatory of Music. Needless to say, I am quite impressed and would highly recommend the Ontario Conservatory of Music.
My 12 year old daughter is getting her vocal lessons at this location. Ms.Ira is a kind and knowledgeable teacher who cares about her students and provides exceptional guidance to both parents and students. I would recommend Ms.Ira for vocal lessons if you’re looking for a genuine and wonderful person to be your kid’s teacher.
The location is not the greatest. It’s on the second floor of an old and stinky building near a bar, it smells like smoke near one of the entrances. I would not let my kids go near such place. The only reason I went to them was because someone had recommended them to me. I had enrolled my kids into their program, but they did not schedule my youngest child for any lessons although I had paid his registration fee. I tried to send messages to the management by their secretary, but I did not hear anything back. After two weeks, their secretary was fired. They hired a new secretary, and I tried to reach the management again, still no answer. My youngest child did not receive any lessons after two months of contacting them. They would not even bother replying back. For this reason I withdrew all my kids, even though I had paid over $1000 for their registration and monthly fee. When you first go in for their so called “free assessment” they will promise you many things and talk about their history etc. They will not even assess your child’s piano skills, but talk about how good their program is just to gain your trust. Then they will not let you leave without registering your kids and paying the registration fee. But the problem begins when you see their quality of lessons, treatment of their staff, and below grade customer service.
I wanted to take a moment to extend my heartfelt thanks for the incredible dedication and effort, Ms. Ira has put into preparing our daughter for the CML music competition - this was her first competition. Ms. Ira, your passion for music and teaching shines through in every lesson, and it's clear how much you care about your students' growth and success. Your patience, encouragement, and expert guidance have made an enormous difference. Our daughter's confidence and skills have soared under your tutelage, and she is genuinely excited and well-prepared for the competition. Thanks to you! There was only one class that was held, so it would be too early and premature to say something. But the discussion held on classes while paying membership fee and the modification occurred were a bit disappointing and absolutely preventable. There is a lack of communication among the front desk, manager and coordinator, resulting in unde delay and confusion to the customer. More I would like to offer when more classes are held.
The instructors are very child friendly. They are also very knowledgeable and clarify doubts for the parents during business hours on any given day. I love the structured curriculum that is being taught and best of all, my kid loves going back every week. They are also flexible with the make-up classes and cater to the kids/parents need when possible.
As a student attending classes at this studio, I am happy to say that this place has provided me with numerous opportunities to learn and improve. The staff here is kind and generous, just like my teacher, Mrs. Ira, who is an excellent and talented teacher. She has been teaching and guiding me throughout my journey at this studio! I highly recommend this place to those who are looking for piano lessons.
