Sat Sri Akal ji, This morning I was feeling very stressed and empty inside. After work, I thought I would go to Gurdwara Sahib to find some inner peace. I was dressed properly and my head was also covered. When I was about to leave, one anty ji (giving Persaud) said to me “ਚੁੰਨੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਇਆ ਕਰੋ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ”. I smiled and replied politely, “ਅੰਟੀ ਜੀ ਮੈਂ ਕੰਮ ਤੋਂ ਆਈ ਸੀ, ਮੈਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਈ”. Then anty ji said, “ਕੰਮ ਦੀ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਿ ਚੁੰਨੀ ਨਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਓ”. I felt a little hurt and started crying at that moment, because although I was dressed respectfully and had my head covered, the comment made me feel singled out. There were many others also coming directly from work, dressed in a similar way. With folded hands, my humble benti to the management is to kindly guide the sevadaars and sangat to avoid making such personal comments. Often they are not aware of someone’s circumstances, and such words can unintentionally hurt feelings. I believe Gurdwara Sahib should always be a place where we can come freely, without fear of being judged, only with the intention of finding peace and connecting with Waheguru. Thank you for understanding.
Very beautiful place for prayer I always book my religious services with this Gurdwara sahib, they never charge for langer (food) like other place, they charge per plate money from sangat .
The management at this Gurudwara Sahib is a disgrace. They're turning a sacred place into a hub for their dirty politics, which has no place in a religious setting. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable! On top of it, the management doesn't even respect anyone, they don't know how to speak to someone. I went there to book them for Sukhmani Sahib path, they were so rude and ended up booking nothing.
The management at this Gurudwara Sahib is not functioning well. They seem to be political at a sacred place, which is inappropriate and goes against the true spirit of the place.
Sikh Heritage Centre No They Don't Have the Langar Hall and Palki sahib is just set carpet (Sikh Heritage Centre opens at 6pm & closes at 2am) sunday 8am - 8pm Sikh Heritage Centre is not gurdwara they don't have a langar and palki sahib babaji no there to
They done even know how to do akhand path. I came to someone's akhand path and path was happening with a different guru Granth sahib in the main hall. So basically 2 guri granth sahib in same hall. We were sitting in front of guru ji and all of a sudden a pathi started path on the other guru Prakash ji asking sangat to sit close to the other guru grants sahib. After 15 minutes of path, he again shifted to the guru ji where path was happening earlier asking sangat to shift again. What is this? What kind of management is this. You cannot do path from 2 different guru granth sahib and ask sangat to shift every time..
Donot ever book this gurghar for anadkaraj or any other event. they are just collecting money thats all. It was my brother’s Anadkaraj and we were seeing off the guest outside the gurdwara and the pathi or i don’t know the guy he came outside and start asking my mother about rest payment in front of bride and groom family. another thing i want too add on ,we paid for 50 people already and we bought extra sweets and other groceries to make sure nothing will be less and with our pleasure we give extra money to cook and other pathies. Still they were so irritating, we couldn’t enjoy our event well. Gurdwara’s are not gurughar anymore we felt that very deep.
