We are regular at Keshav Foods. At least for Puffs (Patties) if nothing else. I remember a year ago the quality of Puff Keshav foods had. It has been deteriorating month by month. And, today we got burnt Masala in Puff. Just cannot imagine how someone can sell burnt Masala Puff. You would know before filling up the Puff the condition of Masala. Burnt food is also carcinogenic.
We have been here a few times, but never reviewed. Family member loves this place and its service and rightfully so. The interior is very plain and fairy clean. Many dishes are served in a disposable containers and we don’t quite like that. The food is authentic Gujarati. There are some good dishes. The noodle samosas are rare and they are good. Bit greasy. The kachoris, coconut pattice (gluten-free) are very good. All vegan. The dhoklas are not, but if ordered in advance and a larger quantity, they can be made vegan. The undhiyu very good. The Sev Tomatoes shaak, again fresh and very good. The mixed kathod (beans) was nice fulfilling. All vegan again. The chappatis can be request without ghee/butter for vegan and also the bajra no rotlo made without butter/ghee to be made vegan is outstanding. We also did a catering order and and made everything vegan. Amazing service and at reasonable price. The quantity was enough.
I ordered from Keshav Foods yesterday, and I was really disappointed with the quality. Apart from the rotli/rotla, nothing tasted fresh. It was obvious that the dishes were premade and stored, and then just served by mixing with gravy. This might work for some cuisines, but for Gujarati food it really ruins the experience. Freshness is the essence of Gujarati dishes, and this approach is a major letdown. Unfortunately, I would not prefer to order from this restaurant again.
Food is excellent quality and very delicious! Made with heart and soul! Recently bought wheat ladoos and they were very delicious! Everyone loved them!
The best Gujarati food I’ve had , they also have great shrikhand I order every-time I miss home and it never disappoints. The aunty is also very sweet and helping.
I am not exaggerating, but this place is an absolute disgusting place to eat. I have firsthand witnesses about the bad hygiene practises that they have. Please stay away if you care about your health, I have seen the owner pick up a piece of bread when it fell from the hot table and put it into a different customers plate. Floor of the store seems sticky and it actually stinks like a railway station on a busy morning. The Owner (Alpak) at the counter is very rude and unprofessional. The Gujarati aunties working in the back are clearly overworked, I saw one auntie crying while rolling roties. The owner told me to mind my business when I showed concern. I heard loud cussing and shouting - I heard the owners wife saying to a young girl - “have your mother not taught you basic manners, what a shame!!”. It was a rough experience in short would never go there again.
Most Customers are facing Bad experience here with food and Rude Customer Service and Hygiene issues and They want you to pay cash or etransfer only and also charging Tax and Not giving Receipt Bill so it means they are keeping the Tax to themselves...owner is only Replying back to people who are writing Good Reviews and Keeping quiet to bad Reviews so it means he has No answer to bad Reviews ...silence is acceptance he accepts that all those Negative Reviews are Correct Reviews. ..it wont take Time for this Crap place to Shutdown with your poor business ethics ...bad hygiene ..Rude Service and Dishonest payment method...Goodluck
