Before retaining her, we were clearly told that the legal fees for closing our house would be $1,250. However, the closing never happened, and we were still charged $2,250, with no clear or reasonable explanation for the increased amount. There was serious miscommunication and lack of transparency throughout the process. She did not explain the mortgage process, did not inform us of potential cancellation fees, and did not disclose what those fees could be or how the cancellation procedure worked. We were left completely unaware until the charges appeared. We were never advised that holding the funds would cause these charges. I would never recommend this lawyer to anyone.
