We're absolutely thrilled to have held our wedding at the Alderlea recently. The City staff are incredibly polite, helpful, and accommodating. The historical features are beautifully preserved and the grounds are georgeous. We had an outdoor ceremony in the garden and reception indoors in the Pavilion room. Our guests loved it, and we had the entire second floor as a getting ready area! It was an unforgettable day for us at an unforgettable venue. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a venue for any event.
What a beautiful venue! The place was perfect for our 50th anniversary party@ i cannot say enough good things about Harnoor, our City of Brampton contact for booking the hall. She was so helpful with every little concern. I would definitely recommend this hall.
The Alderlea Venue upon first visit was exactly what we were looking for! It had the perfect outdoor setting for our Ceremony and the ideal inside for our dinner. As we got closer to the event date we saw 'behind the curtain' We were lied to multiple times (about planting flowers outside in our ceremony area) and were treated by a robot who could care less about how important this event was to us. We had non-negotiables - Ceremony outside and our family dog as the ring bearer. Since the Venue does not allow dogs inside - we needed to do our ceremony outside. There was no rain that afternoon and we ended up setting up the chairs and then removing the chairs all by ourselves - it was super embarrassing that our Guests had to help us! The Alderlea REFUSED to assist in any way. They even called in their Event Security who did absolutely nothing - we tested the grass by removing our shoes, we sat on a chair in the grass and nothing was wet - no damage ensued. As well, the Groom had to set up his own A/V to play music for when they walked down the aisle. We were told the A/V person would be onsite for the duration of our event which was another lie. The Hospitality Industry is about ensuring your guests have a positive experience - this event co-ordinator hid for the entire time that she was there and was so miserable that many of my friends/set up crew commented on her demeanor. Unfortunately they did not deliver but Fortunately, being an Event Planner myself, the show went on and was exactly how my daughter and her husband wanted. Alderlea use this as a teaching moment - what your client wants is important not irrelevant like we were treated.
We had our Christmas party at Aderlea, and it was not the best experience. The communication was missing, making everything chaotic. Planning with Fatima was just so bad. However, Andrew was great, helping us through the party with everything. I also lost my ring, which I forgot in the washroom upstairs, and they didn’t even reach out to me about it. Just so bad, would not recommend it. I'm so happy that it was just our annual Christmas party and not my wedding. I would never come back here.
First time I visit, it's a small location for gatherings. Very little parking so you have to park nearby and walk. Catering and servers were very attentive and friendly but few chairs and tables available
Went here for a photoshoot. The venue looks great for events! A little bit old style but perfect for small to medium events. A lot of different rooms and outside is absolutely gorgeous!
Went for someone's sweet 15 this is such a beautiful place is part museum part party room really a very unique place that I have been to a party. Off topic not related to this venue but the catering company was very good the food buffet was so fresh and delicious really recommend if looking for a catering company picture is included on the side of the van picture.
